out and about :: ernesto neto: the edges of the world

Ernesto Neto: The Edges of the World is a thoroughly inspirational installation that creates a weird world within the Hayward Gallery and really challenges conventional thinking about interior design.

I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves…

  1. Excellent pictures. I kinda feel like I missed something when I skipped round it.

  2. Real life is that big, high-res, high-color screen saver behind all the windows.

  3. Entries to The Southbank Centre’s competition which asked “What’s at The Edges of the World?”: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=6053389&id=23958741368&comments
(I thought they’d make a nice addition to this post.)

PS thanks for the lovely comments.

  4. I also took a picture similar to your fifth one – I didn’t think many would but here there is another one. I loved that shot because more than others it told me of how Neto’s installation actually changed the look and feel of *the building*, not just the gallery environment.
    Thanks for sharing the photos!
